Stellartone's upcoming Vari-ToneStyler GUITAR and Vari-ToneStyler BASS systems double the performance and versatility of the original ToneStyler controls. Five brand-new, ultra-premium quality varitone circuits to selectively cut mid-range... plus five classic ToneStyler circuits to selectively cut treble and passively boost pickup resonance... plus a for real true bypass... plus the original tone pot's loading circuit... that's twelve distinctive tones, from one six-position passive control!
|Stellartone Custom Pickguards|
The musicality and complex character of our unique "Vari-Tone" circuit mode sets a new standard, exceeding all past and present industry efforts... including the earliest Gibson version designed by Seth Lover for the 1958 & 1959 ES-345 & ES-355 models. For readers unfamiliar with the original varitone, this was Gibson's unsuccessful attempt to add "single-coil surf sounds" to their traditional humbucker-pickup models, and to counter the sizable market share being lost to Fender.
After fifty-five years of failed revisions, flawed aftermarket attempts, and virtually-unanimous rejection by players: the varitone's weak, peculiar signal... and those thin, unnatural, tone-sucking sounds... are finally gone for good!
Multiple installation and control options allow for discrete full-strength EQ circuit switching, or continuous fading & blending between these two contrasting filter styles. 100% pure analog tone - zero noise - zero distortion - no batteries!
Initial supplies will be very limited, and will be sold exclusively to the public from Stellartone's web store, on a first-come first-served basis. Retail options include custom pre-wired laminated WD Custom Pickguards or anodized aluminum Tone-Guard pickguards for the P-Bass, and custom pre-wired Tone-Guard Telecaster control plates... ready to drop in and amaze!
