(TRIO, continued)

Gibson Les Paul with two TRIOS
After choosing the range of the pair of treble cut filters (high, standard, or low), the TRIO provides three precision tone shapes: true bypass, warmer treble cut, and cooler treble cut. For players who feel that the third "true bypass" position may be too bright, just add the included "virtual tone pot" loading parts to the TRIO'S cable connection. This little circuit precisely-duplicates the original tonality and signal strength of the removed 500kΩ /.022µF guitar tone pot, or 250kΩ /.047µF bass tone pot, when turned fully clockwise.

Lastly, the unique TRIO switch features a 3/8" diameter bushing... the same size as the tone pot being replaced! Unlike a mini-toggle switch with its tiny 1/4" ~ 6mm mounting bushing, no fillers are required for mounting through the standard 3/8" pot hole size... the TRIO fits perfectly through standard wood tops, pickguards and control plates up to 7.5mm / 0.3" thick (e.g. Gibson Les Paul tone pot holes). The hardware packet includes hex nuts, lock washers, flat washer, and a round knurled "dress nut" by Switchcraft, which matches a 3-way pickup switch's hardware. When installing the TRIO, rotate the compact module according to the player's switch throw preference, then tighten the hardware. Flipping the toggle lever down for true bypass is suggested, as this conforms to the typical pickup selector switch throws on guitars... brighter = down, darker = up.

The TRIO is compatible with passive high-impedance guitars & basses with two "volume-tone" knobs (Tele, P-Bass), three "volume-tone-tone" knobs (Strat), or four "volume-tone-volume-tone" knobs (Gibson). Use one TRIO per volume control.

* NOT FOR "Volume-Volume-Tone" controls (J-Bass, Flying V, etc) *
